The Dental Admission Test (DAT) is performed by the American Dental Association (ADA). It has been working on a national basis since 1950. DAT is a multiple-choice standardized exam taken by probable dental school students. It is a computer based test that can be managed almost any day of the year. The testing program is designed to evaluate general academic knowledge, understanding of scientific information, and perceptual ability. Every candidate may simply take the test a total of three times before having to ask special permission to take the exam once more.
