Tips to Get Success

Your fifth grade teacher was right. If you know how to use flash cards, they do work. Write no more than one to two sentences on each card and include graphs, charts, and tables, if available. Besides, you should organize the cards by subject area and by knowledge area. For instance, cards on the American Revolution should be with like cards, but not with cards on the Civil War.

6. Highlight the text.
A lot of people do this wrong. Keep in mind this rule: Never highlight more than three sentences on a page no matter how long the page is. When you do any more than that, the process becomes meaningless.

7. Visit all possible websites about GED
They will help you to enlarge your knowledge about GED.

8. Take the real test.
When you can afford to take the test more than once, there is nothing better than taking the test. Taking the real test will let you know what you really need to study. Depending on your state’s rule, you may be given credit for those portions that you pass. Some states require you to take all five parts at once, while others let you take one part at a time and give your credit for the parts you pass.

9. Find or create a study group.
Whether you are studying for the law school or GED, there is something inherently powerful about a divide and conquer method. When you are isolated, it can take you a long time to prepare for the exam. But reaching agreement to share resources with others can lighten the load. You will still need to study the material, but, done right, you can do it using the cards, notes, and other study materials of an entire group.

10. Relax and take your time.
Most of students take the test before they are ready, fail, and become disillusioned. If you work hard and do your best, you will pass.
