The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is used by a lot of Catholic schools as an admissions test and as a placement test. This test is simply administered to 8th grade students entering 9th grade. The HSPT is extended by Scholastic Testing Service (STS) and is occasionally referred to as the STS exam or STS-HSPT. The HSPT, different the ISEE and SSAT, is given by each individual school, so STS does not deal straight with student registration.
