| Online Tests | There are several variants of online exams, but they all involve technology. Here are some of them: - In a computer resource center, in a classroom or at home. - With time limits or without. - In accordance to the schedule, or not scheduled. - Open or closed “book”. - Graded or not graded. - With immediate results, or results posted later. - Continuous or “saved and returned later”.
Your success in taking online test depends, to a considerable degree, on your computer skills. Try to master and navigate your technological skills with this guideline:
- Check either computer which you are going to use for taking online test is technically capable and has the necessary connected speed. The advantage of taking an exam in your school is that you can account for your computer consultant assistance. - Train the login process to access the test. Do not experiment with login names and passwords. Review the instructions before taking the test and find out either you have to create new account or you can use your usual student’s one; either you need to take any identifications in case you are going to take exam not at home; what your test login is. - Let the teacher know beforehand in case you need his help. - When you get to the test index page, read all instructions for answering questions carefully. Pay attention to such details as: either the time is limited, and if yes – where is a clock you can watch your time; is it possible to save and return back if interrupted; is it possible to change answers; is it possible to review the chosen answers etc. - Explore how you can exit the test task so your work is not lost.
