| Cribs and Cheating |  Cheating can involve making and using cribs during examination, rewriting other people thoughts or changing names on the paper works.
The ways of preventing and eliminating cheating:
• The usage of different kinds study materials and synopsis should be prohibited, students may use only the allowed items (dictionaries, calculators);
• The cribs possession, no matter of usage is considered like cheating and should be averted;
• All kinds of communicational devices including mobile phones should be switched off and put away from the desks;
• Students may provide proof of identity.
Plagiarism is the act of copying content from the other paper works, papers, articles, electronic sources or other publications, without mentioning the quotations. Even if the inserted extract is small it is considered a cheating. Erasmus University Rotterdam has resources for tracking electronic plagiarism. You may be legally responsible for using electronic non-adopted extracts.
Some legal penalties can be posed upon those who are cheating during the examinations. Those caught with cheating can be suspended or ordered to be passing the examinations one more time.
A small instrument used to aid in the art of cheating. It is generally small pieces of paper with answers to a test, or just notes on a specific topic.
Tips on Cheating:
-do not write on your body (hands, arms) because if the teacher suspects, you will not be able to hide it;
-think about cribs elimination beforehand. If you see that the teacher can trace you, eat the peace of paper with a crib;
-try using transparent ink pencils.
